THE TEAM PANAM SPORTS FOR PARIS 2024 IS PRESENTED WITH THE SLOGAN “THE AMERICAS, JUST ONE TEAM,”
Nine athletes, including World, Olympic, and Pan American champions, will compete for glory in the next Olympic Games. They will not only defend their country’s colours but also represent all the Americas.
The ambassadors collectively have 14 Olympic, 33 world, and 26 Pan American medals, and Paris is the next grand goal to continue adding medals to their already very successful sports careers.
Miami, June 24th, 2024. There are only 32 days left to start the greatest multisport festival in the world, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and the Pan American Sports Organization has presented the new Team Panam Sports that will represent the entirety of the Americas at the grand event.
There are nine ambassadors from different countries in the region, all of them Olympic, World, and Pan American medal winners who not only represent sports excellence in the playing field but are also true role models for their countries and promoters of Olympic values all over the world.
The spectacular achievements of this elite group are summarized in 14 Olympic medals (7 gold), 33 World medals (20 gold), and 26 Pan American medals, which makes them the most successful Team that has taken on to represent Panam Sports since the ambassador’s project was created back in 2019.
The chosen athletes for Paris 2024 are Mijaín Lópex (Grecco-Roman Wrestling, Cuba,) Rebeca Andrade (Artistic Gymnastics, Brazil,) Marileidy Paulino (Athletics, Dominican Republic,) Margaret McNeil (Swimming, Canada,) Marcos Moneta (Rugby 7s, Argentina,) Julien Alfred (Athletics, Saint Lucia,) Osmar Olvera (Diving, Mexico,) Nicolás Jarry (Tennis, Chile,) and Valerie Allman (Athletics, USA.)
“They are exceptional athletes. They are role models in their countries, successful in their sports careers, and, most importantly, extraordinary human beings. We are thrilled with this Panam Sports Team, and we are sure that all of them will bring us much joy in Paris 2024,” mentioned Neven Ilic, the Panam Sports President.
The campaign for the Team Panam Sports going to Paris 2024 has the slogan “The Americas, Just One Team.” It is inspired by all the birds of the continent and reflects the attributes our athletes have in their competition to achieve their objectives in these Olympic Games.
The official advertising spot has a golden eagle as the core element. It travels through several landscapes on the continent, reaching downtown Paris and the iconic Eiffel Tower. Furthermore, the stripes, or branding guidelines of the organization, are shaped into wings on the athletes, with the “Get ready to Fly” concept inviting us all to become a part of and follow their preparations and competitions in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The official campaign symbol is a bird with its “hands” crossed in front of every athlete’s chest, representing the reunion of different cultures and countries in one team, the Americas.
