
KOSOVO OLYMPIC COMMITTEE CELEBRATES OLYMPIC DAY
On 25th May, around 5.000 children born in 2008, when Kosovo declared its independence, celebrated the Olympic Day. Kosovo Olympic Committee has considerably increased the number of participants at the event that this time was organised in seven cities of the country: Prishtina, Gjilan, Peja, Gjakova, Prizren, Mitrovica e Ferizaj.
The main event took place in the capital city, Pristina, with 2.500 children running from Zahir square to the theatre, where modern Pentathlon competitions took place.
This is the 7th edition of the Kosovo Olympic Day, an initiative started in 2012 and organised in collaboration with the educational departments of the different municipalities.
