The European Olympic Committees (EOC) Executive Committee (ExCom) praised the performance of European National Olympic Committees (NOC) at the Olympic Games Paris 2024 during its fourth meeting of 2024.
The ExCom met in Paros, Greece, on 13 September and President Spyros Capralos congratulated the member NOCs for ensuring that Europe once again won the most medals of any continent, with five of the top 10 NOCs globally from the continent.
Furthermore, the ExCom agreed that Paris 2024 was a great success, particularly noting the full venues and excellent atmosphere generated by the French fans.
In addition to reports from EOC Secretary General Raffaele Pagnozzi and EOC Treasurer Peter Mennel, the latest updates on preparations for the 2025 European Youth Olympic Festivals in Bakuriani, Georgia, and Skopje, North Macedonia were heard.
