COOPERATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CROATIAN AND CHILEAN NOCS

During the visit of President of the Republic of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović to the Republic of Chile and to the Croatian Migrant Community, a Memorandum of Cooperation between Croatian Olympic Committee and Chilean Olympic Committee was signed.

On behalf of the both NOCs, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs Zdravko Bušić and Secretary General of the Chilean Olympic Committee Jaime Agliati signed the agreement in Santiago de Chile. With this act Croatian Olympic Committee has got 21 NOCs with which it has made such a collaboration.

To pay tribute to Croatian migrants in Chile, President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović gave the Order of Danica with the image of Franjo Bučar (writer and father of Croatian sport and Olympism) to former President of the Chilean NOC Neven Ivan Ilic Alvarez.

Alvarez, currently IOC member and President of PASO (Pan-American Sports Organization), was given credit for his outstanding commitment in promoting sport worldwide, as well as for the long-standing successful cooperation between the Croatian and Chilean Olympic Committees.
