Olympic Day in Bangladesh features run in Dhaka and seven other cities

Dhaka, Bangladesh, June 24, 2019: The Olympic Day Run organised by the Bangladesh Olympic Association was held in the capital Dhaka on Sunday morning and was attended by sports personalities and athletes from different sports federations.

The Olympic Day Run was also observed in seven other divisional cities.

The run in the capital began in front of the Bangladesh Shishu Academy and concluded at the torch gate of the Bangabandhu National Stadium. Youth and Sports Minister Zahid Ahsan Russell inaugurated the programme as chief guest.

The day was also marked by a cultural programme performed by the Army orchestra after the end of the run at the National Stadium while a seminar was held at the Bangladesh Olympic Association auditorium in the afternoon.
