Uzbekistan NOC and Sports Ministry visit Olympic town for AYG Tashkent 2025
Top officials from the Sports Ministry and the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan paid a site visit to the Olympic town being built for the 3rd Asian Youth Games Tashkent 2025 on Monday, August 19.
Sports Minister Adham Ikramov, NOC Secretary General Oybek Kasimov and NOC Deputy President Azizjon Kamilov were among the party that made the site inspection in the company of Chinese officials from CAMC Engineering.
Officials from the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Economy also participated. The main topic of discussion was on how the Olympic town would be used after the AYG.
During the site inspection, the Sports Minister and NOC officials were updated on the progress of construction, and were informed that work on the exterior of the facilities had started.
The 3rd AYG is scheduled to be held in September 2025.
