Tanzania Olympic Committee stages workshop on athlete lifestyles

The Tanzania Olympic Committee (TOC) recently held a two-day workshop in Kibaha, Tanzania focused on sharing best practices with athletes on how they can live a healthier lifestyle to improve their performance on the field of play.

The workshop, which featured more than a dozen athletes, saw the participation of TOC Vice-President Henry Tandau, while Executive Committee member Suma Mwaitenda and assistant Secretary General Sulemain Mahamoud Jabir were among those to offer thoughts and guidance.

Jabir spoke in detail about leadership and the role it plays in creating a positive and productive work environment. He went on to highlight the ongoing issue of doping in sport, and emphasised the importance of integrity and respect in the spirit of fair competition to ensure that all athletes can compete on a level playing field.
