Swiss Olympic extends partnership with St. Moritz

Swiss Olympic and the municipality of St. Moritz will work even more closely together in the future. As part of the extended partnership as Official Partner, St. Moritz will become the official altitude training center of the umbrella organization of Swiss sports.

At 1,856 m above sea level, St. Moritz offers M. and with modern infrastructure optimal training conditions for athletes. That’s why Swiss Olympic is expanding its existing cooperation with the community in the Engadin and will use St. Moritz as the official “High Altitude Training Base” in the future. The focus of the extended partnership is the further development of the altitude training center in the area of ​​specific performance diagnostics. There are also benefits for all national sports associations affiliated with Swiss Olympic and their athletes. This includes, for example, the use of various training and regeneration infrastructures in St. Moritz and in the surrounding partner communities.

“We’re really looking forward to this even closer collaboration with St. Moritz. The high-altitude training center and the unique landscape, combined with many sunny days, enable perfect training camps where the body and soul are in harmony,” says Ralph Stöckli, Head of Mission at Swiss Olympic. “In the future, we will be able to make even better use of these ideal training conditions for our Swiss athletes.”
