Sri Lanka NOC holds athletes forum and AGM

The National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka held a two-day forum to educate and inspire athletes last week.

The forum, which was conducted by the Athletes’ Committee of the Sri Lanka NOC under the auspices of Olympic Solidarity, was attended by a large number of athletes from a number of sports.

Multiple topics such as anti-doping, safe sport, nutrition and injury prevention were discussed. A presentation was also made on how to motivate athletes to perform successfully.

National cricket star Chamika Karunaratne was a guest speaker at the forum.

Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka NOC held its Annual General Meeting on Saturday, December 30. The meeting was conducted under the patronage of NOC President Suresh Subramaniam and NOC Secretary General Maxwell de Silva. Also attending were heads of a number of national sports federations.
