Slovakian Olympic and Sports Committee to host Sport (R)Evolution 2022 conference

The Slovakian Olympic and Sports Committee (SOŠV) will hold the Sport (R)Evolution 2022 conference next month, which will see delegates meet in person for the first time since 2019 to discuss themes related to sustainability, financing and the organisation of sports events in Slovakia.

Representatives of government, event management and sport organisations will participate in the conference where they will share knowledge and expertise to gain a better understanding of how they can work together to organise events in the country.

Sustainability in Sport, the main theme of the conference, will be presented by IOC Senior Sustainability Manager Julie Duffus who will explain the different approaches organisations can use to educate the public on sustainability and how to effectively communicate this to diverse audiences.

Meanwhile, Executive Director of the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) Banska Bystrica 2022, Peter Hamaj, will discuss how the biggest multi-sport event in Slovakia’s history compared to other large-scale events across the continent from an operational perspective. He will also speak about the innovative methods he has used to attract sponsors to the EYOF and explain why it is important to have partnerships with organisations in various industries.
