Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee hosts team building #JOTGAMES for junior athletes

The Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee gathered the best junior athletes of Slovakia for the team building #JOTGAMES, where the young athletes not only had fun, but also gained new knowledge that can help them on their way to success.

The team building of the Junior Olympic team started with the “Icebreaker Games” with the mental coach of athletes, Adam Kocian, who currently helps many, especially young athletes, to set their minds for success. The main idea of the activity was to get to know each other better. After that, team building could start in full swing.

“Every year, the #JOTGAMES program also includes lectures from various sports fields. Our goal is the education of young athletes, because success is far from dependent only on talent and hard work. It is a complex of several areas – from proper nutrition to diagnosis and injury prevention,” says Dominika Šmihulová from the marketing of the Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee.

Several experts, always from a different field, took turns on the stage at the Tuli Cinema in the x-bionic sphere during the two days of team building. Matúš Dzian, a well-known fitness coach of hockey players, had under his thumb the complex theory of the athlete, in which the members of the Junior Olympic team learned that success does not depend only on hard work and talent, but also on plenty of sleep, regeneration and mental well-being. Tomáš Pagáč from the Anti-Doping Agency of the Slovak Republic explained the risks of using prohibited substances and pointed out that nutritional supplements are not nutritional supplements. The athlete must be very careful in what he uses.
