Oman Olympic Academy organizes school sports and talent identification course
On Monday a school sports and talents identification course organized by the Oman Olympic Academy, was launched as part of its approved agenda for this year, and it will continue until “Wednesday.”
The course aims to shed light on the importance of the stages of sports selection, and knowledge of the various sciences related to the training process and the design of programs for the care of sports talents, in addition to recognizing the role and importance of school sports as the main base for discovering talents.
Dr. Majid bin Saeed Al-Busafi, Director of the Humanitarian Research Center at Sultan Qaboos University, is lecturing in the course, and more than 20 male and female teachers from Oman School Sports Association, and public and private schools will participate.
The course includes theoretical lectures and practical applications in a number of axes, including the scientific foundations and principles in the process of selecting sports talents, reviewing a number of international experiences in discovering talents, and addressing the stages of sports selection, as well as recent studies and research in talent discovery, battery and measurements models used in this field will also be reviewed.
