Olympic Day Event by Hellenic Olympic Committee

The Hellenic Olympic Committee, the Hellenic Olympic Academy and the AC Laskaridis Charitable Foundation in the framework of the Olympic Day celebration, organised at the Panathenaic Stadium the event: A Great Sea, Environment – Sports – Volunteerism.

The event took place with a great participation by sports people, members of environmental organizations, volunteers and citizens. The relation between sport and environment was discussed as well as ways to raise awareness about the protection of the environment. In addition conclusions were drawn about the joint efforts and intensification of actions that should take place in order to protect the environment and nature.

The event took place in the framework of the collaboration between the HOC and HOA with the Hellenic Voluntary Campaign “Let’s do it Greece” and was attended, among others, by the Olympic champions Spyros Gianniotis and Giorgos Gelilis.
