“OLYMPIC BEACH” THE GREAT INITIATIVE OF THE NOC ARGENTINA FOR THE SUMMER 2025

The summer season in Argentina is marked by a series of demonstrations and sports activities aimed at promoting Olympic sports and environmental protection in different resorts in the country.

January is characterized in Argentina as the summer month when more people go to the country’s different beach resorts to enjoy their vacations.

It is for this reason that the Argentine Olympic Committee has been deployed in the most important seaside resorts to organize the “Olympic Beach 2025”, an initiative that consists of bringing Olympic sport and its athletes closer to the people, with recreational activities, sports demonstrations, and most importantly, always taking care of the environment.

The activities are during the weekends of January and include among other activities Beach Handball demonstrations, Skateboarding Championships, Volley Sitting, Athletics Jumping, Basket 3×3, Hiking, Yoga, Table Tennis and Surfing.

“We have an innovative proposal that aims to bring Olympic sport to the beach, transmitting values, with environmental responsibility, with promotion, sports development and international events. We are following a little bit the line of Olympism 365 that the IOC has. We are very happy and motivated with these activities,” said the President of the Argentine Olympic Committee, Mario Moccia.

Regarding the response to the first weekend of “Olympic Beach 365” Moccia was emphatic in pointing out that “we were in Mar del Plata, Pinamar, Chapadmalal, Cariló, it was excellent. People were very grateful to have an option to know the sport and have recreational and healthy activities to complement their vacations. Besides, the media coverage is very good. This is the first time we have done this activity, and we are very happy and excited to continue growing”.

This third weekend of January the “Olympic Beach” will be present in Mar del Plata, Pinamar, Cariló, Chapadmalal and Valeria del Mar.
