NOC UAE prepares for Dakar YOG 2026 and LA28 Olympics

The United Arab Emirates National Olympic Committee held a meeting with representatives of sports federations in order to review plans and preparations for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games and the LA28 Olympics.

H.E Nasser Al-Tamimi, member of the NOC UAE Board of Directors and Chairman of the Committee on Technical Affairs, opened the meeting in the presence of H.E Abdul Aziz Al-Salman, who is also a member of the NOC Board of Directors and Chairman of the Planning Committee.

With these two international events in mind, discussions revolved around targeting young athletes, their selection process, development and training, technical and tactical preparation, medical and nutritional support, as well as financial backing.

The meeting highlighted the importance of preparing a promising young generation of athletes who will take on the responsibility of representing the Emirates with pride and honour and promoting the Olympic movement and vision of H.H Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the NOC UAE.
