NOC Indonesia Hopes for the Active Contribution of Entrepreneurs in Sports

The Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC Indonesia) hopes that entrepreneurs in Indonesia can make an active contribution in the sports sector. This active role is needed to improve the development of Indonesian sports achievements in the eyes of the world.

This was conveyed by the President of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC Indonesia) Raja Sapta Oktohari when receiving the National Entrepreneurs Network (JAPNAS) to the NOC Indonesia office in Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (16/08). He was accompanied by Executive Committee Ismail Ning, Deputy Secretary General I Harry Warga Negara with Wasekjen III Josephine Tampubolon, and Chairman of the Commission Sport for All Ery Erlangga.

“Sports organizations need entrepreneurs, such as from the National Entrepreneurs Network to be able to actively engage and take care of sports, so as to be able to help improve sports achievements

“More and more entrepreneurs are actively involved in Indonesian sports, I believe that coaching sports achievements can also increase.”

Indonesia, continued Oktohari, is a large country with a population of 270 million. There is a lot of potential that Indonesian sports have to make achievements, but it requires support from all parties.

Moreover, building achievements cannot be instantaneous. It takes a long time and a struggle that requires hard work and a lot of money.

“Especially to promote the sport industry in Indonesia, where the economy and sports are closely related and become a strong symbiosis of mutualism. With the experience and expertise of entrepreneurs, especially the National Entrepreneur Network, I believe that the sport industry in Indonesia can be more vibrant,” said Oktohari.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the National Entrepreneurs Network, Bayu Priawan Djokosoetono, expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from NOC Indonesia. He considered that the meeting was the first step in collaboration between the National Entrepreneur Network and NOC Indonesia, which is expected to be stronger in the future.

“We are an organization that wants to make a positive contribution to the Indonesian economy and help improve Indonesia’s positioning,” said Bayu.

“I as the Chairman of the National Entrepreneurs Network encourage Indonesian entrepreneurs to actively contribute to improving Indonesia’s sports achievements.”
