Mexican Olympic Committee celebrates Olympic Day
The Mexican Olympic Committee celebrated Olympic Day at its facilities in the Mexican Olympic Sports Center (CDOM).
More than 19 national sports federations participated in activities for more than 700 children who enjoyed sports, as well as the values of the Olympic Movement.
The event reflected the power of sport for children to build a better world, seeking greater inclusion through healthy coexistence.
The president of the Mexican Olympic Committee María José Alcalá Izguerra thanked the presidents of the federations that were part of this multi-sport event “I am very happy to see here the presidents of federations to children and parents have made a great alliance so that if we manage to move Olympism more in a more social way, we have to bring sport closer because it is a tool to make peace”.
“Seeing the parents with their daughters today here at the COM fills us with joy that families can enjoy the great variety of sports that exists and that they can take a souvenir like their Olympic passport is a source of pride. Today we celebrate sport and the Olympic movement, which is a tool for governments, but also to train successful people in life” mentioned Maria José Alcalá.
