Lithuania NOC awards those who have contributed to Lithuanian sports and Olympism

On Tuesday, the Lithuanian National Olympic Committee (LTOC) honoured and awarded persons who have celebrated honorable anniversaries and who have contributed to Lithuanian sports and Olympism.

Olympic champion and LTOK president Daina Gudzinevičiūtė presented the awards during a special ceremony.

Among the awardees were:

Adolfas ALEKSEJŪNAS (2022.06.27) – Olympian, track and field athlete, runner, sports organizer.

Jonas Vidmantas ČIRŪNAS (June 24, 2022) – veteran of Lithuanian water polo, long-time player and coach of the Lithuanian national team, prominent national sports figure.

Vitalijus ALEKPERLIS ( 2022 07 10 ) – Lithuanian water polo veteran, prominent national sports figure, long-time national team player, recognized as one of the best in Lithuania and national team coach.

Angelė JANKŪNAITĖ RUPŠIENĖ (2022.06.27) – former basketball player, coach, one of the most titled Lithuanian athletes, Montreal 1976. and Moscow in 1980. gold medalist of the Summer Olympics, won gold in three European Championships, two World Championships.

Rita RAZMAITĖ KITANOVA (June 29, 2022) – Lithuanian track cyclist, born in 1992. Barcelona and 1996 Participant of the Atlanta Olympic Games, laureate and winner of various international games.
