Kazakhstan NOC hosts Sports Administrators Courses
National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan has successfully concluded a three-day seminar, the Sports Administrators Courses, held at the Nazarbayev University School of Medicine in Astana. The seminar was organized under the Olympic Solidarity programme.
Sports Administrators Courses aimed to enhance the professional skills of participants while fostering an environment for knowledge-sharing and experience exchange. More than 60 professionals attended, including representatives from sports federations, multi-sport organizations, coaches, team leaders, legal experts, international affairs managers, and PR specialists.
Experts in project management, sports law, anti-doping measures, financial management, gender equality, and sports medicine led the course. With support from UNESCO Kazakhstan, sustainable development in sports was also a key focus. Participants explored topics such as operations at the Olympic Games, educational opportunities, community management, and best practices for visual content on social media.
The course welcomed students from NU University, offering them valuable insights into sports management. «The International Olympic Committee supported NOC Kazakhstan’s initiative to run this seminar and endorsed the proposed program»,- said Alimzhan Akayev, Secretary General of NOC Kazakhstan. «We aim to strengthen the skills of national sports federation specialists, as their expertise plays a critical role in the development of sports in Kazakhstan. This course addressed key issues and laid the foundation for effective sports management at all levels»
The courses not only enhanced participants’ professional knowledge but also provided a chance to exchange practical experiences with colleagues. «This seminar has been extremely insightful.
