Japanese Olympic Committee holds 10th Asunavi Athlete Workshop

The Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC) held the “10th Asunavi Athlete Workshop” online. Asunavi is a free job placement business that matches athletes with companies in order to create an environment in which they can continue their competitive activities.

Since 2010, briefings have been held on this activity for economic organizations and educational institutions in each region, and so far, 359 people from 216 companies/organizations have been hired (as of December 2, 2022).

This workshop was held for athletes recruited through Asnavi aiming for the Olympics and Paralympics with the theme of “career” with the aim of thinking about self-understanding and self-growth and building a network among participating athletes.

At the beginning of the workshop, Hiroki Nakamura, JOC Career Academy Business Director, stood up and explained the achievements and recent situation of Atsnavi, saying, “I want you to go beyond competitions and build relationships by valuing horizontal connections.”
