Cape Verdean Olympic Academy hosts Olympic Values Education Seminar

The Cape Verdean Olympic Academy held a mini camp featuring activities to promote Olympism and educate children on the importance of the Olympic values at São Pedro Initiative School on 26 November 2022.

Cape Verde Olympic Committee President Orlando Mascarenhas was present at the event and explained to the children how Olympism seeks to create a positive way of life by blending sport with culture, education and international cooperation.

In addition, Sport for Life Coordinator Ivete Rosa organised an activity involving five stations that were focused on the methodology of the Olympic Values Education Programme.

At the conclusion of the camp, Rosa underlined the importance of aligning the Olympic Movement with the education of children, while emphasising that the doors of the school and the community will always be open for other initiatives of this nature in the future.
