Bhutan Olympic Committee to send coaches and referees to OCA development programme

The Bhutan Olympic Committee (BOC), following the invitation of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), is sending coaches and referees from four sports to join the OCA’s Development Programme in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The course is scheduled to take place from 3-7 November and is the second stage of the OCA Development Programme for coaches and referees.

The BOC will send officials from four of the five sports on the agenda: judo, weightlifting, swimming and boxing, with wrestling making up the fifth discipline.

This forthcoming stage of the programme will be attended by 14 NOCs from South Asia and Central Asia, and the OCA has invited each NOC to send two coaches and two referees in each of the five sports.

The first phase of the Development Programme was held in Kuwait over three phases and involved nine sports and 12 NOCs from West Asia.

The third stage will be for NOCs from Southeast Asia and East Asia, with the dates and venue to be announced in 2023.
