Hosting the ANOC World Beach Games is a unique opportunity for cities to demonstrate their leading position as a young, innovative and sports-loving city by welcoming the best athletes in beach and water sports and showcasing their captivating beaches to the world.

The ANOC World Beach Games is the world’s largest sporting event to gather elite athletes in beach and water sports. It aims to inspire young generations through the excitement of these sports allowing NOCs to connect with new audiences and further promote the Olympic values.

The first ANOC World Beach Games was hosted in Doha (Qatar) in 2019. The Qatari capital welcomed 1237 athletes from 97 National Olympic Committees participating in 14 disciplines. The six days of competitions showcased Qatar’s iconic Al-Gharafa and Katara beaches.

The host will also stage the ANOC General Assembly, bringing together high-profile sports representatives from all around the world.

The ANOC General Assembly is an annual two-day event gathering relevant sports leaders of the world: representatives from all association member NOCs, the IOC, IFs, OCOGs and other Olympic stakeholders are invited to attend the General Assembly. This gives host NOCs a unique opportunity to showcase their city to a global audience.
