Update on ANOC Digital Accelerator Programme presented to XXVII ANOC General Assembly
A comprehensive update of the ANOC Digital Accelerator Programme (DAP) was today presented to the XXVII ANOC General Assembly as ANOC outlined the key projects of the flagship programme.
Seven workshops and webinars were delivered in 2024 as ANOC looked to share best practice between NOCs and help to equip them to maximise the opportunities of the Olympic Games Paris 2024. This was further supported by the creation of the NOC Social Media Guide for Paris 2024 created in partnership with RedTorch.
The NOC Social Media Report from Paris 2024 highlighted the success of the NOCs’ performances at the Games with 10.6 million new followers gained by NOCs and 394.7million reactions, nearly double the amount of Tokyo 2020.
ANOC also presented on the Gangwon 2024 Photo Project and NOC Photo Progamme Paris 2024 which provided smaller access with high-quality imagery to use on their social platforms.
In addition, ANOC delivered the NOC Video Studio Project at Paris 2024 which was used by 38 NOCs from five continents and saw the production of more than 700 videos and more than 1,000 photos.
Looking ahead, ANOC confirmed it will be delivering an AI Webinar Series in 2025 following the IOC Olympic AI Agenda and in coordination with the IOC Technology Team. The series will look at the role that AI tools can play in NOCs’ day to-day activities. A total of five webinars are planned from January to May 2025.
ANOC also announced it will look at opportunities to develop one single fan data management solution for NOCs as a collective in collaboration with Salesforce. British Olympic Association CEO Andy Anson presented a case study on how the NOC is working with Salesforce and the scope for collaboration between NOCs and the IOOC and IFs.
