Unlocking AI’s Potential: Key Takeaways from ANOC’s Final AI Workshop
Over the past months, ANOC has hosted a series of five workshops designed to help National Olympic Committees (NOCs) and other organizations within the Olympic Movement explore how artificial intelligence (AI) can support their work. This final session marked an important step in understanding AI’s practical applications and how sports organizations can start integrating these tools into their daily operations.
Participants discovered how AI-powered tools like ChatGPT can assist with tasks such as summarizing meeting notes, streamlining workflows, and even helping to create digital content. A standout moment of the workshop was the presentation by the South African NOC, which showcased how they successfully developed an automated system to generate social media posts using their own data sources.
The success of this workshop series exceeded expectations, with over 106 NOCs taking part, along with representatives from more than 30 other Olympic organizations. In total, more than 530 participants joined across the five sessions, demonstrating the growing interest in AI within the sports community.
Given this enthusiasm, ANOC and the IOC’s AI services are strengthening their collaboration to provide even more support and resources to NOCs in the future. The next key event in the Digital Accelerator Program will take place on April 2, focusing on Google Grant and how NOCs can make the most of this program.
