South African NOC Visits ANOC Headquarters in Lausanne

A delegation from the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC) consisting of Ms. Nozipho Jafta, Secretary General, and Mr. Bronson Mokabela, Marketing and Communication Director, were welcomed to the ANOC headquarters in Lausanne on 27 February. This visit marked their first stop since arriving in Switzerland.

During the visit, the SASCOC delegation received an overview of ANOC’s ongoing projects. Discussions were focused on communications initiatives such as creating original athlete-centric video content and establishing a comprehensive photo archive within their NOC. The delegation also explored the prospect of developing their own TV channel through the ANOC.TV programme. Recognising the value of ANOC’s webinars on digital communication and social media, the South African representatives emphasised the importance of understanding the success stories of effective digital communication. ANOC also explained that a digital communication seminar is being organised for NOCs.

Finally, the delegation discussed possibilities around hosting future ANOC events.
