Exploring Google Ad Grant Opportunities: Highlights from the 18th Digital Accelerator Workshop

The 18th edition of ANOC’s Digital Accelerator Program focused on a powerful yet often underused tool for sports organizations: the Google Ad Grant program.

The workshop featured Troy Pugmire, a guest speaker from Gramercy, who shared his extensive experience in sports marketing. He provided valuable insights into the benefits of the Google Ad Grant, which offers up to USD 10,000 per month in free advertising on Google Ads for eligible non-profit organizations.

Participants explored the many opportunities this grant can bring to National Olympic Committees (NOCs) and other sports organizations—whether to promote events, recruit volunteers, or boost the visibility of local initiatives. Troy explained the key considerations during the application process, along with best practices to maximize the effectiveness of ad campaigns.

The workshop included an open discussion where participants shared their own experiences with the program, highlighting both success stories and challenges, particularly for smaller countries and NOCs with limited technical or human resources.

The full replay of the workshop is now available on ANOC.tv.

The next Digital Accelerator Program workshop will take place on 13 May and will cover a new topic to help strengthen NOCs’ digital capabilities. Stay tuned!
