Cascais host official welcome reception ahead of XVII ANOC General Assembly 

Cascais Mayor Carlos Carreiras and the Cascais Visitors & Convention Bureau welcomed hundreds of delegates from the XVII ANOC General Assembly to an Official Welcome Reception this evening (29 October) 

Representatives from the nearly 200 NOCs in attendance in Portugal were joined by leaders from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), International Federations (IFs) and Olympic Games Organising Committees (OCOG) in an informal setting ahead of the General Assembly beginning on 30 October. 

ANOC President Dr Robin Mitchell and Secretary General Gunilla Lindberg, and IOC President Thomas Bach attended the reception, where discussions centred around the Olympic Games Paris 2024, the upcoming General Assembly and the opportunities and challenges for NOCs during the next Olympiad.
