ANOC to attend SportAccord 2024 in Birmingham
President Robin Mitchell and Secretary General Gunilla Lindberg will lead an ANOC delegation at the SportAccord World Sport & Business Summit in Birmingham, UK from 7-11 April 2024.
Held for the first time since 2019, SportAccord 2024 will see leaders from across the Olympic Movement and wider sporting world gather for five days of meetings, informative panels and exhibitions at the International Convention Centre. Furthermore, the Association of Summer International Federations will hold their General Assembly on 9 April.
The Summit provides ANOC an opportunity to meet with International Federations to discuss future editions of the ANOC World Beach Games, and the hosting of ANOC events and seminars with National Olympic Committees and cities from across the world. Furthermore, ANOC representatives will focus on building relationships with potential future partners and sponsors in attendance in Birmingham as part of the continued development of the organisation.
Held every year between 2003 and 2019, this is the first time that SportAccord has been hosted since the Covid-19 pandemic and will see the largest gathering of Olympic Movement stakeholders prior to the Olympic Games Paris 2024 beginning in July.
