ANOC Legal Commission Virtual Meeting

On Monday, 9 September 2024, the ANOC Legal Commission held a virtual meeting from 14:00 to 17:00 CET. The session was structured around a comprehensive agenda, addressing several key issues and updates pertinent to the legal landscape of the Olympic movement.

The meeting was led by Commission Chair, Michael Chambers and among the topics discussed were the Paris 2024 experience, providing insights into preparations and legal considerations for the upcoming Games, Data Protection Policies, and continental updates offering a global perspective on various legal challenges and developments.

Looking ahead, the commission noted the upcoming XXVII ANOC General Assembly, scheduled to take place in Cascais, Portugal, from October 28 to November 1, and planned for the next in-person meeting of the ANOC Legal Commission at the Assembly.

The meeting concluded with other business and was adjourned, setting the stage for continued engagement and legal oversight within the ANOC framework.
