ANOC leadership present at OCA General Assembly

ANOC President Robin Mitchell and ANOC Secretary General Gunilla Lindberg attended the OCA General Assembly in New Delhi, India on 8 September representing ANOC and the broader NOC family.

ANOC Vice President and European Olympic Committees President Spyros Capralos was also in attendance.

During the General Assembly, which saw the election of Randhir Singh as the OCA President, Secretary General Lindberg delivered a presentation on ANOC and the numerous programmes and initiatives it has recently implemented. This included details on the NOC Video Studio Project and NOC Photo Programme Paris 2024 which saw NOCs given access to high quality videos and photography to enhance their social media performances during the Olympic Games.

Secretary General Lindberg praised the overall success of Paris 2024 and expressed hope that in future the Continental Games can provide more quota places on the road to LA28.

Secretary General Lindberg also provided an update on preparations for the ANOC General Assembly Cascais 2024 which will take place on 30-31 October. The General Assembly will also feature the ANOC Awards 2024, which recognises the best NOCs and athletes from Paris 2024, and the ANOC Special Theme Sessions, which provide NOCs the opportunity to exchange knowledge and best practice.

The OCA General Assembly heard a number of other reports including from the organising committee of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games.
