ANOC Events Commission meets in Hong Kong

The ANOC Events Commission met today at the Hong Kong Olympic Committee headquarters, hosted by the Commission Chair Mr. Timothy Fok.

Discussions focused on the ANOC World Beach Games and the current evaluation of the Games concept to ensure that it is delivering maximum value to all stakeholders.

Commission members were joined by of Mr. Ian Wright, Director of Development at the Badminton World Federation and Mr. Pedro Roque from the Portugal Olympic Committee, representing their respective stakeholder groups in the discussions.

During the meeting there was also a report on the athletes’ feedbacking on the Games, which was presented by Olympic Medallist from New Zealand and member of the Commission Mrs. Bárbara Kendall.

The meeting resulted in conclusions and recommendations that will be presented to the ANOC Executive Council at the end of April in Athens, Greece.
