ANOC Engaged at Milano Cortina 2026 Chef de Mission Seminar
ANOC Secretary General Gunilla Lindberg attended the opening day of the Chef de Mission Seminar for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, held in Milan on 25 March.
The day began with a series of informative plenary sessions covering key Games functional areas, including Sport, the Olympic Village, Accreditation, Sport Entries and Medical. These updates are a key milestone in the preparation journey of the NOCs and provide essential clarity on operational planning ahead of the Games.
Following the sessions, Ms. Lindberg joined NOC representatives for a visit to the Milano Olympic Village construction site, which is now in its final stages. The village, located in the heart of the city, will serve as one of the central hubs for the Games. Its progress reflects the broader momentum of Milano Cortina 2026 as preparations accelerate.
With a competition plan spread across multiple regions, Milano Cortina 2026 will present unique logistical challenges for the NOCs. The initial test runs on the bobsleigh track provided encouraging signs that homologation will proceed as scheduled — a reassuring update for the teams on site.
ANOC is fully engaged in the preparation process and is listening carefully to the presentations and concerns raised by NOCs. As always, ANOC’s priority is to ensure that the voices of the NOCs are heard and that they are fully supported on the road to Milano Cortina 2026.
