
3rd Regional Digital Communication & Social Media Seminar held for NOCs in Lausanne
The 3rd Regional Digital Communication & Social Media Seminar, co-organised by the Azerbaijan NOC and European Olympic Committees (EOC) and ANOC, was hosted in Lausanne with representatives from 17 NOCs across three continents in attendance.
The highly interactive Seminar was held over two-days in the ANOC headquarters and allowed opportunities for NOCs to network and share best practice.
During the seminar, there were presentations on AI solutions for productivity, data analysis and content; Olympic Games digital challenges from an IF perspective; outcomes and lessons learned from the European Games, Asian Games and EYOF; and athletes as storytellers. The Azerbaijan NOC also delivered a presentation on sponsor oriented Social Media content creation.
ANOC was invited to deliver a presentation on the ANOC Digital Accelerator Program, including how NOCs can make best use of the Social Media Dashboard and take advantage of ANOC’s partnership with the Content Stadium to create professional social media layouts. ANOC and the EOC also presented on TV streaming with ANOC explaining the benefits that ANOC TV can bring to NOCs. ANOC and the IOC presented on the NOC Photo Project Gangwon which building on the inaugural project at Beijing 2022 will provide NOCs with more access to high-quality imagery of their athletes at the Games.
Breakout group discussions were moderated by the EOC, giving NOCs more opportunities to engage and discuss ideas before follow-up plans were presented based on the discussions.
Delegates were given a tour of Olympic House and received a presentation on the IOC Digital Communication Strategy/Social Masterclass before the seminar concluded.
