Independence Medal bestowed on Jordan Olympic Committee

His Majesty King Abdullah II bestowed the Jordan Olympic Committee with the Independence Medal, First Class, during the 78th Independence Day ceremony at Al Husseiniya Palace on Saturday, May 25.

The medal was received by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Al-Hussein, President of the Jordan Olympic Committee, who considered this honour as a medal of glory and pride for everyone who contributed towards national achievements and developing the work of the NOC.

Prince Faisal expressed great happiness with the medal, which crowns a successful sports career that has always enjoyed the guidance, patronage and great support of His Majesty the King, for various sports.

Prince Faisal also dedicated this achievement to the nation’s men and women who have worked hard silently and diligently to bring results to the country and said it would give them further motivation.

The JOC President affirmed that the NOC will remain in the good faith of His Majesty, the King, and will work with all its might to developing the capabilities of Jordanian youth and be a source of inspiration for them and for future generations.
