ANOC Medical Commission meets ahead of 7th IOC World Conference on Prevention of Injury and Illness in Sport
The ANOC Medical Commission, led by Chair Chris Milne, met ahead of the 7th IOC World Conference on Prevention of Injury and Illness in Sport in Monaco.
During the meeting, the members delivered updates from their continents. Dr. Pigozzi delivered an update on the WADA Foundation Board activities and the newly approved list of forbidden substances.
There were discussions about adding another member to the ANOC Medical Commission which all members agreed to, and it will now be presented to the ANOC President.
Lastly, the members discussed that the medical protocols adopted by OCA for the Asian Games are very good and should be shared with the members so that other continents could study them and consider implementing some of the elements.
The 7th IOC World Conference on Prevention of Injury and Illness in Sport takes place from 29 February to 2 March 2024
