ANOC engages NOCs and key stakeholders on ANOC World Beach Games

ANOC this week engaged National Olympic Committee (NOCs), International Federations (IFs) and athletes on the ANOC World Beach Games and how the event can be optimised to generate maximum value for all stakeholders.

ANOC held a meeting with representatives from IFs that participate in the Games on Wednesday and a meeting of the ANOC Technical Working Group was held on Thursday to discuss the NOC perspective and priorities.

Discussions with the IFs and NOCs centred on the format, optimization, risk reduction and sport events that would be beneficial to the NOCs.

ANOC also launched a questionnaire which was sent to 200 athletes from different countries and sports to gather more information on what the Games means for their careers and how the Games can support them with their goals from sport development to increased exposure and sponsorship opportunities.

On the basis of these discussions and the athlete questionnaire, a report will be presented to the ANOC Events Commission in March with a final report then presented to the ANOC Executive Council at the end of April.
