ANOC supports NOC Belgium host Welfare Officer Paris 2024 Webinar

ANOC supported the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belgium host the Welfare Officer Paris 2024 Webinar on 9 February, as the NOC presented their vision and plans for welfare officers and safeguarding officers at this year’s Olympic Games.

The NOCs of Brazil, France, Japan, Netherlands, South Africa and the USA joined Belgium in presenting their plans and shared their understanding of the present rules and expectations and operational applications.

A total of 70 representatives from 50 NOCs from all continents attended the webinar, highlighting the importance of the topic and the need for facilitating exchange.

During the interactive session it was clear that the NOCs share a strong belief in the need for these functions but that further discussions and clarifications are needed on their responsibilities.
