Official logo unveiled as ANOC marks one year to go until 2024 General Assembly
The official logo of the 2024 ANOC General Assembly has been unveiled to mark one year to go until the Portuguese Olympic Committee (COP) hosts the 27th edition in the village of Cascais.
ANOC Executive Council and Commission members will be joined by representatives from the International Olympic Committee, National Olympic Committees (NOCs), International Federations, upcoming Olympic Games organising committees and other Olympic organisations in Portugal for the General Assembly and accompanying events between 28th October and 2nd November, 2024.
The logo unveiled by COP and the Local Organising Committee features oceans and waves to represent Portugal and Cascais’ location on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, while the globe reflects the union of the five continents and the Olympic spirit.
An ANOC delegation led by Secretary General Gunilla Lindberg visited Cascais last week to meet with COP President José Manuel Constantino and the Local Organising Committee to discuss the ongoing preparations and as a mark of the continued collaboration since Cascais was confirmed as the hosts in March 2023.
Secretary General Lindberg said: “We are all looking forward to the Olympic Movement gathering in Cascais for the 2024 ANOC General Assembly and the unveiling of the stunning logo to mark one year to go is an important landmark. The Local Organising Committee and the Portuguese Olympic Committee are both committed to hosting an excellent event and I am certain through our continued collaboration with them that it will be a success.”
