Bilateral Cooperation Between Korea and Chinese Taipei NOCs

The Korean Sports & Olympic Committee (KSOC) and the Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee (CTOC) are delighted to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will enhance and promote sports exchange between the two NOCs. This historic agreement, signed on Tuesday May 30th 2023, signifies a significant step towards fostering greater collaboration and friendship through sports.

The MOU signing ceremony took place in the meeting room of Seoul Olympic Parktel , where representatives from both committees gathered to solidify their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in various sporting disciplines. The ceremony was attended by esteemed officials, including Deputy Representative of Taipei Mission in Korea Mr. Yung-Chiang CHI, who expressed his enthusiasm for the future of sports exchange between Korea and Chinese Taipei.

Under this MOU, the KSOC and CTOC will actively collaborate in several key areas, including:

  • sport leaders of two countries should strengthen contacts and cooperation, and constantly exchange views on international sports affairs for making contributions to the dissemination of the Olympic Spirit and maintaining the world peace.
  • exchanges and cooperation between experts and researchers in the field of competitive sports, sport for all, sports science and medicine.
  • exchange information, publication and teaching materials in physical education and sports.
  • strengthening cooperation in fighting against doping and other unsportsmanlike behavior in the field of sports.
  • exchanges between national, provincial or club teams of different sports for competition and joint training.

Both the KSOC and CTOC are confident that this MOU will promote a culture of sportsmanship, respect, and collaboration between Korea and Chinese Taipei. By working together, the committees aim to create a positive impact on the sporting landscape and strengthen the bond between their nations.
