HOA and Dražen Petrović Foundation sign agreement to promote Olympic ideals in 2023

The Croatian Olympic Academy (HOA) and Dražen Petrović Foundation have singed an agreement on mutual cooperation in the implementation of the “Olympic Ideals – Dražen Petrović” program during 2023.

The agreement was signed by Director of the HOA Saša Ceraj and President of the Board of Directors of the Dražen Petrović Foundation, Biserka Petrović.

The signing of the agreement continues the very successful cooperation in the implementation of the program promoting the Olympic values ​​and cultural dimensions of sport, as well as popularizing and spreading the Olympic idea of ​​combining sport with culture and education through the personality and career of basketball player and winner of three Olympic medals, Dražen Petrović. The program has been successfully implemented for the sixth year in a row, and includes primary and secondary schools all over Croatia.

As part of the program, educational workshops are held in the premises of the Dražen Petrović Foundation and the Dražen Petrović Museum-Memorial Center, and consist of the screening of a four-minute film about the monument to Dražen Petrović in Lausanne, a guided tour of the Dražen Petrović Museum-Memorial Center, and questions from the participants about Dražen.

At the end of the workshop, each school receives two educational comics based on the image and work of Dražen Petrović for the needs of the school library with educational leaflets from the Croatian Olympic Academy on Olympic values, two basketballs with the image of Dražen Petrović for the needs of physical education and health education in the school, and one wall poster for each workshop participant.
