Lesotho National Olympic Committee hosts seminar for Secretaries General of National Federations
The Lesotho National Olympic Committee hosted a seminar for the Secretaries General from its thirty-member National Federations.
The Seminar was officially opened by the Principal Secretary Dr. Mamoeketsi NTHO on Tuesday 20 December.
In her address, she emphasized the need to use sport as an enabler to combat harassment, Gender-Based Violence, Abuse, and Human Trafficking.
This seminar intends to capacitate the Secretaries General and consider the potential capacity-building opportunities to be mobilized at their behest aiming to close the gaps within their respective NFs during their tenure of offices. The theme for this Seminar is “Undertaking a 360 Performance Assessment of the SG Office”
On day 2, delegates were engaged in addressing the Principles of Corporate Governance Facilitated by Adv. Teele TAOLE.
They then participated in the Brain Challenge and Programming led by OYAP, the Importance of Monitoring and Evaluation supervised by Mr. Maoala KHESA, and Risk and Compliance on an Organisational Setting with Adv. Atang NCHOBA.
The day will be summed up by the NFs Secretary Generals panel discussion on repositioning the Lesotho Sporting Landscape, and the Lesotho NOC Secretary General on writing the Executive Report.
