Spanish Olympic Committee to hold Technical Conference on individual and Team Sports

The Spanish Olympic Committee (COE), in collaboration with the Higher Sports Council, will hold a free Technical Conference on Individual and Team Sports on 17 December in Madrid, Spain.

The conference is set to feature elite coaches of Olympic athletes who will explain the work that they do on a daily basis and how to build strong working relationships with athletes.

COE President Alejandro Blanco will be present at the meeting, which will also feature presentations from Miguel Méndez, coach of the women’s basketball team, David Martín, coach of the men’s national water polo team and Luis de la Fuente, coach of the U-21 men’s football team on the importance of building the right culture in a team environment.

Presentations will be given on individual sports by elite coaches, including: Ramón Torralbo, the coach of Olympic gold medallist in high jump Ruth Beitia; David Maciá, the coach of Olympic champion in climbing Alberto Ginés; Miguel García who coached five-time Olympic gold medallist in sprint kayak Saúl Craviotto, and Fernando Rivas, the coach of Olympic badminton gold medallist Carolina Marín.
