THE FIRST CENTRAL AMERICAN AND CARIBBEAN GAMES ARE OPENING SANTA MARTA 2022

The Central American and Caribbean beach sports party has begun in Santa Marta with 26 countries and 650 athletes for the inauguration of the First Central American and Caribbean Sea and Beach Games, which runs until November 26, and will be in action on the coast of the Magdalena.

The opening ceremony is at Camellón de Bahía with the premiere of the official channel of the organisation, Centro Caribe Sports Channel on YouTube, a space that will born in these first games.

10 sports disciplines will have the attention of the public that will meet at the 500 Years Multi-Sports Park in El Rodadero, Camellón de la Bahía and the Mendihuaca Park, with beach handball, beach soccer, volleyball, surfing, beach wrestling, rugby beach, beach tennis, open water swimming, skateboarding and sailing.

With the presence of the highest sports authorities of Colombia and the Centro Caribe Sports Executive Board, the opening ceremony began at 8:00 p.m. 19th November, Colombian time, with a cultural program representative of Santa Marta and Magdalena.
