Croatian Olympic Academy grants financial support to primary schools for physical education classes

As part of the “Olympism in action” project, the Croatian Olympic Academy, in cooperation with the Croatian Kinesiology Association, visited schools and awarded financial aid in the form of vouchers for the implementation of physical and health education classes.

The aid was received on behalf of the district school “Matija Gubec” by Zdravko Pavlinić, principal of Čeminac Elementary School, in the presence of school pedagogue Tamara Mazur, and Ivana Vrbetić Lipošćak, TK teacher, on behalf of “Generalski Stol” Elementary School. Vouchers and gift packages were presented by the director of the Croatian Olympic Academy, Saša Ceraj, and the vice-president of the Croatian Kinesiology Association, Davorin Babić.

– When we started this humanitarian project, we knew that this help would be a drop in the ocean of need, but our wish was to start small and send a message to those in need that they are not forgotten, and also draw society’s attention to the problems that plague our youngest members in order to worked together and made it possible for every child to play sports – said the director of the Croatian Olympic Academy, Saša Ceraj, when awarding the aid.

Let’s remind you that the HOA designed a new program and competition “Olympism in Action” through which the Croatian Olympic Academy in cooperation with the Croatian Kinesiology Association finances the purchase of equipment and props for the implementation of the curriculum in the subject of Physical and Health Culture and extracurricular sports and exercise activities for primary and secondary schools in the Republic of Croatia in 2022, and especially for schools in areas of special Serbian state, areas affected by natural disasters and schools with difficult working conditions.
