Acting ANOC President statement on Tokyo 2020

Following the announcement made by the IOC Executive Board with regard to stepping up the scenario-planning for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 , Acting ANOC President Robin Mitchell, issued the following statement:

“ANOC, like the IOC and all 206 NOCs, places the health and wellbeing of the athletes and all Olympic stakeholders as its number one priority. ANOC recognises that the current situation is very complex and supports the IOC’s decision to work in close consultation with the NOCs and International Federations to accelerate its scenario-planning for Tokyo 2020 and ensure the health of everyone at the Games.”
