NATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE OF AZERBAIJAN HAS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED “SPORTS MANAGEMENT COURSE”

A Sports Management Course organized by the National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan with the support of the International Olympic Committee’s Olympic Solidarity Fund was successfully completed at the NOC’s office on 24 January.

The participants of the course were coaches and teachers of the Children’s and Youth Sports School. The main objective is to improve the knowledge and skills of teachers and sports professionals in the administration.

The course was delivered by the lecturers Mehman Karimov, Anar Bagirov, Kanan Maharramov and Ceyhun Rahmanov, who have received IOC Certification in Sports Administration and among the speakers there were National Federations, Sports Academy and local authorities who shared their experience with the participants.

The course included presentations on Olympic history, communications, the organization of Olympic Games, sports journalism, Olympic marketing, and exchange on views with participants on these topics.

Participants were presented with the International Olympic Committee’s book on sports administration translated into Azerbaijani, as well as certificates of the International Olympic Committee by the National Olympic Committee.
