Mongolian National Olympic Committee hosts a sports medicine and science seminar

Mongolia Naional Olympic Committee rganised a Sports Medicine and Science Seminar in Ulaanbaatar with the support of IOC Olympic Solidarity between 11-15 June. In accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding signed with the Russian Olympic Committee, the Mongolia National Olympic Committee invited two experts from Russia.

Sergei Alexandrovich Sharakin, head of the scientific-methodology department of the ROC Innovation Centre and Eduard Victorovich Generozov, Specialist from the Federal Biomedical Agency, Ph.D., Biology were among the speakers.

Mongolia NOC also invited Andras S. Szabo of Hungary, university professor, lecturer since 1983 at the University of Physical Culture, Budapest, lecturing in sports nutrition, training methodology and biomechanics in weightlifting, lecturer for MEMOS programme.

The seminar topics included sports genetics, sports biomechanics, body composition, golden rules for athletes, sports nutrition as a special part of nutrition science and dietetics and sports psychology.

The Mongolia NOC President, Sports Doctor Mr. D. Zagdsuren, participated in the opening ceremony and distributed the certificates to the participants with the experts during the closing ceremony. More than 45 people took part, including sports doctors, Physical Culture University teachers, coaches and athletes.
