Robin Mitchell elected on IOC Executive Board as NOC representative
ANOC Vice President Robin Mitchell was today elected by the IOC Session in Lima as the NOC representative on the IOC Executive Board (EB). Nicole Hoevertsz and Denis Oswald took were also elected onto the IOC EB and Anita DeFrantz was elected as IOC Vice-President.
Mitchell will replace Patrick Hickey who resigned from his position last week.
Speaking after his election Mitchell said:
“Thank you all for giving me the opportunity to share the views of the National Olympic Committees in the highest decision making body in Olympic sport and, as a conduit in return, to share the relevant views that NOCs need to know to better their service to their stakeholders, particularly the National Federations and the athletes. Thank you all.”
